  What is the CRE?

The Spanish Resident Councils (CRE) are advisory bodies of the consular offices on matters of interest to the Spanish community of residents in their demarcation.

They are made up of Spaniards of legal age registered in the Electoral Census of Absent Residents of the corresponding consular district, and are elected through elections every four years.

In short, they are the official voice of the Spanish community abroad.

The Sydney CRE works as an advisory body to the Consulate in Sydney about matters that affect the Citizens of Spain resident in the NT, QLD, NSW and Pacific Islands.
